Sarra Guirat recently graduated with a degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Higher Institute of Medical Technologies of Tunis (ISTMT), specializing in health information technologies and artificial intelligence. She completed her graduation project during an internship at Skills4Mind, where she developed an intelligent surgical assistance platform SurgiPlan integrating 3D visualization, automatic organ segmentation, and real-time instrument tracking using deep learning models such as MONAI and YOLOv11. Previously, she created an AI-based triage prediction system at Institut Salah Azaiez to support emergency care decision-making. She has also worked on medical anomaly detection projects, including pneumonia classification from chest X-rays using CNNs and VGG16. With strong skills in Python, DICOM, React, and Django, she is passionate about designing domain-adapted, resource-aware AI solutions for healthcare, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.
