Biography

Monia Najjar received the M.S degree in Electrical Engineering and Ph.D degree in communication systems (Optical Communication) from the Higher School of Engineering of Tunis. She joined the Higher Institute of Computer Sciences of Tunis El Manar (ISI), as Assistant Professor, in 2004. From 2013 until 2017 she was associate professor. In 2018 she became full Professor and director of Higher Institute of Computer Sciences of Tunis El Manar. She has been a reviewer for many international journals and conferences. Her main research interests are optic communications: Dynamic bandwidth allocation, passive optical devices, photonic crystal structures, encoders, optical memories, biosensors and WDM networks. She successfully tutored and co-tutored more than 10 PhD students. She has authored/co-authored more than 30 papers in journals and more than 40 conference contributions. She is a member of the Technical Program Committee of more than 10 conferences and general co-chair of GIIS 2020. She has attended many events and conferences as guest speaker.
